Annie Ruth Foundation Summer Internship

Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to apply for a paid, summer internship program in Jacksonville. Requirements:
·         Registration period from October 1 - November 7
o   Must attend Duval County
o   Junior or Senior
o   2.0 or better GPA
o   Eligible for free/reduced lunch
o   Submits an original 1,000 word essay (focus on one career field)

o   Attend monthly workshops

Beyond High School Seminar

Gamma Rho Omega Chapter is hosting a Beyond High School Seminar at The Bethel Church on Saturday, October 28th from 8 am to noon for 8th through 12th graders.  It is a free event for students and parents.  They will present information on HBCUs, financial aid, and preparing for college.  There will also be give-a-ways and door prizes.  Register at http://grobhss.eventbrite.com.

Keiser University Open House - Scare Fair

On Wednesday, October 25th from 5-8 pm, Keiser University is holding a Scare Fair/Open House event.  You can learn about their programs in Health Care, Business, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, Technology, Psychology, and Hospitality.  Costumes are welcome.  See the flyer for all the details!

Jax Goes to College Week - Oct. 9-13th

Next week is Jax Goes to College Week!  We would like to challenge all high school and middle school students of Baldwin to compete in Mayor Curry's High School or Middle School College Bingo Challenge.  Students who complete the challenge have a chance to win tickets to a Jacksonville Jaguars home game!  See the two attachments for the Bingo cards and directions.
