2018-2019 Scholarships listed below: 

FAMU Scholarships - Students who apply and admitted are considered for these scholarship amounts based on GPA and tests scores.  

Deadlines Firm:   Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair - Due Oct. 1, 2018 - Amount varies
Must be resident of Duval, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Nassau, or St. Johns County.  Must be planning to enroll in a 4 year, college 2 year college, or technical institution.  Requires 1 page essay and 3 letters of recommendation.  You can submit application online, hand delivered, or mailed.  I recommend due to the late deadline to submit everything online or hand deliver.  

Horatio Alger Scholarship - Due Oct. 25, 2018 - Amount up to $25,000
Must be a full time senior and plan to enter college in the Fall.  Must plan to complete a bachelor's degree at a public or private college in the US.  Must demonstrate financial need and be involved in co-curricular and community service activities.  Also, must hold at least a 2.0 GPA and be a US Citizen.  

FASFEPA Vivien Scott Scholarship - Due Feb. 28th to C. Granger - $2,500
Must be a senior who is eligible to meet the Free and Reduced lunch guidelines.  Two students who submit applications to Mrs. Granger will be submitted to the organization.  

Westside Business Leaders Association Scholarship - Due March 1, 2019 - $1000
Senior must have 2.0-3.0 unweighted GPA who may or may not qualify for Bright Futures Scholarship.  They would love to help students who may not qualify for other financial assistance.  Must be seeking a degree at a public university, state college, vocational center, or private school.  See Mrs. Granger for application. 

BAZ Scholarship - Due March 16, 2019 - $750-$1,000
Must be a female senior student from a local high school.  Requires essay and three letters of recommendation.  

First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Scholarship - Due March 24, 2019 - $2,000
Must be an eligible Hispanic student.  Apply at www.fchcc.com/scholarship 

DAEOP Scholarship - Due March 28, 2019  
Must be a high school senior in Duval County in good standing to graduate.  Must be planning to attend a two or four year postsecondary institution or technical school.  Requires three letters of recommendation.  

Southern Scholarship Foundation - Due April 1, 2019 - Can save $13,200 annually on housing!
This program gives rent-free cooperative living for any incoming college student attending one of the 7 schools this agency partners with (Flagler, Florida A & M, FLGU, FSU, UF, Sante Fe, or TCC).  Students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA, have an EFC on the FAFSA of less than $7,500 and a letter of recommendation.  

Johnson Scholarship to Children of UPS Employees or Retirees who live in FL - Due April 1, 2019
Must be a son or daughter of a current or retired UPS employee.  

American Muslim Alliance of Florida Inc. Scholarship - Due April 1, 2019 - $500-$1000
Must be a senior graduating from a school in Florida and entering college full-time.  Must have a 3.0 unweighted GPA.  This award has been given to high school seniors of all races, religions, and creeds.

Gator Club Scholarship - Due April 1, 2019 - $2,500
If you have been accepted to the University of Florida, you need to apply for this scholarship!  Ten Duval County students will receive this award.  

UFABAJAX Scholarship - Due April 1, 2019 - $500-$1,500
Must be a senior who has been accepted to The University of Florida, begin school in the summer of fall of 2019, and have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA to qualify.  Must also have 30 hours or more of community service.

Florida First Coast Coalition of Labor Union Women Scholarship - Due April 5, 2019 - $500
Must be a senior with at least a C average who has applied to a technical school, an apprenticeship program, college or university may qualify.  Must be a good citizen in the school setting and community.  Must have a minimum of 50 hours of community service.  See Mrs. Granger for a clean application (this one scanned weird).

National Naval Offices Association 2019 Annual Scholarship - Due April 5, 2019 - up to $2,500
Seniors who are planning to attend a two or four year university in the summer of fall of 2019.  Must have two letters of recommendation.  

Duval House New Beginning Scholarship - Due April 6, 2019 - Worth $500
Open to all seniors who plan to attend a two or four year university in the fall or summer of 2019.  Essay (500 words) is required.  Also requires a high school transcript that includes fall grades, copy of ACT/SAT scores, 3 letters of recommendation, and any college acceptance letters you have received.

Sassy Seniors & Steppers - Due April 6, 2019 - Worth $500
Open to graduating seniors planning to attend a two or four year university in the fall or summer.  Requires a high school transcript that includes fall grades, copy of ACT/SAT scores, 3 letters of recommendation, and any college acceptance letters you have received.  Essay is also required. 

Johnson Scholarship Foundation Disability Scholarship - Due April 15, 2019
Must be a student with disabilities who will attend one of the twelve state universities.  

UNF Jax Commit Scholarship - see UNF website for deadline - $6000 per year
Must be admitted to UNF and eligible for the Pell Grant and Free/Reduced lunch.  Apply in your MyWings account.   ________________________________________________________________________________

UNF Jacksonville Commitment Scholarship - Due Oct. 15, 2017 - Worth total of $24,000
To be eligible you must:
    1.)  Apply and be admitted to UNF as a freshman.
    2.)  Be a recent grad of Duval County with a standard diploma
    3.)  Be a FL resident
    4.)  Be eligible for the free and reduced lunch program
    5.)  Be eligible for the Pell Grant (you will find this out after you file the FAFSA)
    Priority will be given to students who complete the application AND file an error-free FAFSA by
    October 15th (The FAFSA opens on October 1st).  You will apply online in your myWings account
    after you apply to UNF.  

Horatio Alger Scholarship - Due October 25, 2017 - Worth up to $25,000
Must have a 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.  Also must plan to seek a bachelor's degree in the fall (you can start at a two-year college and then transfer to a four-year college).  

Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation - Due October 31, 2017 - Worth up to $20,000
This scholarship is looking for outstanding senior students who lead and serve, and make a significant impact on their schools and communities.  150 scholars are selected each year for this awesome scholarship.  You must be planning to pursue a degree in a college or university and must graduate from high school.  

Brooks Law Group Scholarship - Due Nov. 1, 2017 - Worth $1,000
700-1400 word original essay on assigned topic.  Winners announced on December 15th.

Prudential Spirit of Community Award - Due Nov. 7, 2017 - Worth $1,000 and an all expense paid trip to Washington DC in April if you make it to the state level!  If you have a lot of community service or volunteer hours than this award is for you.  Open to all middle and high school students. Complete the application and the student/parent agreement, then, on the "certification" page, e-mail or print and deliver instructions to Mrs. Granger in Guidance.  

Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship - Due Nov. 14, 2017 - Worth up to $40,000 per year
At a minimum, applicants must:
  • Plan to graduate from a U.S. high school in spring 2018
  • Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college or university beginning in fall 2018
  • Earn a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above
  • SAT combined critical reading and math score of 1200 or above and/or ACT composite score of 26 or above
  • Demonstrate significant unmet financial need. We will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000. However, we anticipate that a majority of scholarship recipients will be eligible to receive a Pell grant

JaxSports Charities Award of Excellence - Due Nov. 13, 2017 - Worth $2,500
Seniors only - must have a 3.0+ unweighted GPA from the First Coast area.  Must participate in a junior varsity or varsity sport or its equivalent (dance, gymnastics, taekwondo, etc.).  Must exhibit exemplary behavior and pledge to be be drig/alcohol/tobacco free.  Must have one letter of recommendation and write an essay.  

Stokes Educational Scholarship (National Security Agency) - Due Nov. 15, 2017 - job opportunity
This is a perfect opportunity for students interested in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering.  Seniors Only - must be a US Citizen, eligible to receive security clearance, have a minimum 1200 on SAT or 25 on ACT, 3.0 unweighted GPA, and submit an online application.

Sin Limites Foundation Scholarship - Due Dec. 1, 2017 
Must be a Hispanic student residing in Duval County.  Can be US Citizen, DACA, or Perm. Legal Resident.  Must have a 3.2 unweighted GPA and plan to enroll full time in an accredited, 4 year University or community College.  Must complete FAFSA or state based financial aid application.  Essay required.

StudyPug Math Essay Scholarship - Due Dec. 15, 2017 - Worth $1,000
Must write a 500-1000 word essay discussing how a math teacher, a math class, or a math lesson has changed how you see the world around you.  

AXA Achievement Scholarship - Due Dec. 15, 2017 - Worth up to $25,000
Available to seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace.  Must plan to enroll full time in a two or four year college or university in the US.  Must be a US citizen or legal resident.  

GE- Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program - Due Jan. 4, 2018 - Worth $10,000 (renewable!)
Who is eligible?
GE-Reagan Foundation Scholars candidates must:

  • demonstrate at school, at the workplace, and within the community the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship;
  • demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent);
  • be citizens of the United States of America;
  • be high school seniors attending high school in the United States, or any of the U.S. territories and commonwealths and graduating in winter 2017 or spring 2018.  Applicants living on a U.S. Armed Forces base and attending high school outside the U.S. are eligible.  Home-schooled students who are graduating in winter 2017 or spring 2018 are also eligible.
  • plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study toward a bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2018-2019 academic year.

Rayonier Advanced Materials Scholarship - Due Jan. 8, 2018 - Worth $2,500 (renewable)
Must be a high school senior living within a 45 miles of Fernandina Rayonier Plant that is interested in studying engineering.  Must be accepted into one of the following schools: UF, FAMU, FSU, USF, or UCF (as well as a few other schools outside of Florida) to study engineering.  Essay required.  Must complete full online application after setting up account with link.  

UNCF STEM Scholars - Due Jan. 16, 2018  - Worth from $2,500 to $5,000
The UNCF STEM Scholars Program is a new initiative designed to provide scholarship and academic support for talented African American high school students who aspire to pursue careers in STEM fields.  Must be African American, have a 3.0 GPA, be a HS senior, be a US Citizen, and entering a US accredited college.  Go to website for a complete list of scholarships and details.  

Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation - Jacksonville - Due Jan. 31, 2018 - Worth $2,000
Must be a graduating senior in Duval, Clay, Nassau, or St. Johns County.  Must be a US Citizen.  Must be able to provide written acceptance to an accredited college or university no later than interview date (March/April timeframe).  Consideration of scholastic achievement, GPA, SAT/ACT/PERT scores, character, leadership, essay, and personal interview.  Also requires transcript, two letters of recommendation, and a passport photo.  

KPMG Future Leaders Program/Scholarship - Due Jan. 31, 2018 - Worth $10,000 per year!!!
Must be a senior female who is a US citizen.  Must have financial need (family income must not exceed $75,000).  Must also have a 3.5 GPA or higher and plan to study STEM at a 4 year college or university.  

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship - Due Feb. 1, 2018 by 5pm - Worth up to $28,000
Must be a graduating, minority high school senior.  Must plan to attend a four year school in the US.  Must show leadership potential, demonstrate dedication to community service, show evidence of financial need, be a US Citizen, and have a minimum 1000 SAT or 21 ACT.  

Florida Engineering Foundation Scholarship - Due Feb. 2, 2018 - Worth up to $30,000
Here is the criteria for this scholarship.

·         Be a high school senior.
·         Have been enrolled in one semester and will graduate from a FL school.
·         Be a citizen or permanent resident (green card holder) of the United States at the time of application.
·         Have at least a 3.5 grade point average based on a 4.0 scale.
·         Attain a minimum test score on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), or the American College Testing Program              (ACT).   For SAT, you must have a 600 on Math and 500 on English.  For ACT, you must have a 26 on Math
          and 21 on English.   
·         Enroll in an engineering program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the                                Accreditation  Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
·         Certified transcript (unopened) must be included with the application.
·         A copy of the official IB, AICE & AP test score sheet must be included with the application.
·         Complete Certification Sheet tab within excel application file.

Servin-Ellis Scholarship Fund - Due Feb. 9, 2018
Parent/guardian or student must be a Florida Credit Union Member.  Must plan to enroll in a University or Community College.  Two letters of recommendation, essay, transcript, and list of extracurricular activities required.  

Dr. John C. Rawls Scholarship Fund - Due Feb. 9, 2018
Parent/guardian or student must be a Florida Credit Union Member.  Open to anyone who is enrolled or plans to enroll in an undergraduate program.  Awards will be need and/or academic based.  A transcript, two letters of recommendation, and a resume of extracurricular activities is required. 

Exchange Club of Jacksonville 2018 Americanism Speech Contest - Due Feb. 16, 2018 - Worth         $500 and potential for $3,000 if proceeding to district competition.  
Open to any Jacksonville area high school student grades 10-12.  Must write a speech that is 5-8 minutes in length about a positive theme of patriotism, relating to the American way of life and continuance of the American democratic form of government.  Winner will present speech on February 22nd at Exchange Club meeting.  See Ms. Granger if planning to participate for more details.  

Tusculum Trustee Honors Scholarship - Due March 1, 2017 (Full tuition to Tusculum!)
This scholarship recognizes the exemplary academic record and achievements of its recipient.  As a full tuition scholarship award, it will be awarded to no more than two students in each incoming class.  Please visit the website for complete requirements and application process.  3.5 GPA, ACT 25 or 1150 on SAT, top 10% of class, general admission to Tusculum as well.

Alpha Hayes Moore Memorial Scholarship - Due March 2, 2018 - Worth up to $1,000
Must write essay and include three letters of recommendation.  Must have proof of acceptance into college or university.  SAT/ACT/transcripts required.  

GCA Scholarship - Due March 30, 2018 - Worth $1,000
Must be a student of Duval County with a 3.0 unweighted GPA.  Need two letters of recommendation.  Also, must have an 1100 on SAT OR or 25 ACT Composite score (last year they were flexible, so if you are close to those scores go ahead and apply).  Must be pursuing a business or business related field (again, flexible on this last year).  

Delta Sigma Theta Scholarship - Due April 6, 2018 - Worth $2,000
Must be an African-American female or male.  Two different scholarships are available to Baldwin students.  GPA varies.  Please see website for specific details.  (Note:  Deadline was extended from what is posted on website.)

Florida First Coast Coalition of Labor Union Women - Due April 6, 2018 - Worth $500
Must be a graduating senior with at least a 2.0 (C) average who has applied to a technical school, an apprenticeship program, college or university may qualify.  You must also have 50 hours of documented community service.  

Jacksonville Plumbers & Pipefitters Joint Apprenticeship and Training Trust - Due April 6, 2018
Applicants accepted into this program will only be responsible for books.  Applications are available January 8th through April 6th 2018 at 489 Stevens Street, Jacksonville, FL 32254.  Applications must be returned by 4:45 pm on Friday, April 6th and MUST be delivered by the applicant.  For more information contact (904) 786-0941.  Must be 18 years old with a valid driver's license, birth certification, HS graduate or GED, clean driving history, etc.

Brooks Law Group Spring Scholarship - Due May 1, 2018 - Worth $1,000 for 1st place
Must be a senior planning to continue education.  Essay required.

Chartwells Scholarship - Due May 4, 2018 - Worth $1,500
24 students in Duval County will be awarded this scholarship.  Must have a 2.5 GPA and essay is required.

UNCF Koch Scholars Scholarship - Due May 14, 2018 - Worth up to $20,000 ($5,000/year)
Must be an African-American senior with a 2.7 or higher GPA.  Must be a US citizen.  Must be planning to attend a 4 year college or university.

2018 Alfred Washington Sr. Scholarship - Due May 27, 2018 - Worth $1,000
Must have a 3.0 GPA, 75 Community Service Hours, and live in Duval or surrounding counties.

Benenati Law Firm Future Scholarship - Due May 28, 2018 - Worth $2,000
Open to seniors who plan to attend a 4 or 2 year college or university.  *Special Consideration For Applicants Who've Either Been Involved In A Personal Injury Accident or Had A Family Member Recently Involved In A Personal Injury Accident.*  You must also have a 3.0 GPA.  Essay required and letters of recommendation accepted.  

Cluff Law Car Accident Scholarship - Due May 31, 2018 - Worth $750
Must be a senior with a 3.0 GPA who is going to attend college and is planning to pursue a law-related degree

Divorce Matters Scholarship - Due May 31, 2018 - Worth $2,500
Must be a senior planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college this Fall.  Also, must have experienced a divorce of your parents/guardians.  Essay required.  

Sattiraju Employment Law Scholarship - Due May 31, 2018 - Worth $1,000
Senior must be attending school in the Fall of 2018 and plan to go to law school in the future.

Florida Conference of Black State Legislators 2018 Scholarship - Due June 1, 2018 - $500
Must be attending a 4 year college or university in the Fall.

MG Law Scholarship - Due July 1, 2018 - Worth $1,000
Must be senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher who plans on attending a college or university.  

Achieving the Dream Scholarship - Due July 31, 2018 - Worth $2,000
Must be a Hispanic senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher who will be pursuing an associates or bachelors degree.  Financial needs are considered.  

City Property Management HOA Service Scholarship - Due July 31, 2018 - Worth $1,000
Must have a 3.0 GPA and attending college in Fall of 2018.  Also, must have an interest or plan on pursuing a career in Real Estate.

Clutch Prep Scholarship - Due July 31, 2018 - Worth $750
Must be a senior who has been accepted into a 2 or 4 year college.  All you must do is show your passion and drive for the major/career you plan on studying.

Robert Austin Scholarship - Due Aug. 17, 2018 - Worth $1,500
Must be a senior who has been accepted to a 4 year college for the Fall.  Must have a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Mattress Help Scholarship - Due Sept. 25, 2018 - Worth $1,000
Must be a senior or current college student.  Must have a 3.0 unweighted GPA.  Must be a US Citizen.

Guaranteed Scholarships - This is a list of colleges that offer scholarships if you have a certain GPA, test score, etc.  Please verify all of this information with the institution you are interested in.

Embry-Riddle Scholarship Information - Some of these scholarships you are automatically considered for when you apply and the latter link is a list of other scholarships you can apply for.  

Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation Scholarships - 66 scholarships of varying criteria.  There is a $5 fee for processing of this scholarship, but it is legitimate.  These scholarships mainly look at GPA and major focus.  Most if not all scholarships are due on Feb. 1, 2017

JAXSPORTS Charities Award of Excellence Scholarship - Must be postmarked by Nov. 15, 2016

Worth $2,500 and can be used at any accredited University or Community College.  
             Students must have a 3.0 or higher unweighted GPA, participate in a junior varsity or varsity
             sport, participate in extra-curricular activities, etc.  Letter of recommendation required.

Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship - Due Dec. 1, 2016 (But entered in a raffle for an Apple iPad if you complete your online application by October 20.)

              Students must have a 2.8 or higher GPA, be a full time senior, plan on attending an
              accredited college, university or technical school in the US, has demonstrated leadership
              abilities, and has a commitment to community service.  If this sounds like you, please talk to
              Mrs. Granger in the guidance office.  She can nominate you to apply for this scholarship.

2016 Sattiraju Employment Law Scholarship -  Due Dec. 6, 2016
This scholarship is available to any student who will be attending an accredited college or university in Fall 2016 and have plans on attending law school in the future.  Essays and transcripts are also required. Award Amount - $1,000

LEDA Scholarship (for Juniors only) - Due Dec. 12, 2016 - Click here to apply

Academic Qualifications:


  • Be a junior in a public high school (11th grader) at the time of applying
  • Have an unweighted cumulative GPA of at least 3.6 and class ranking within the top 10% of the high school class
  • A record of enrollment and success in the most rigorous courses available to the student, e.g., honors, AP, IB, dual credit, or concurrent enrollment courses
  • Exceptional analytical reading and writing skills, demonstrating preparedness for selective colleges and universities
  • Scores above the national average on the PSAT, SAT, PLAN, and/or ACT

MLK, Jr. Oratorical Competition - Due Dec. 16, 2017 - up to $3,000!
Open to all male high school students.  Finalist will present their speeches on February 4th, 2017 and Preliminaries will take place at Jean Ribault on January 7th.  Must submit an original essay or speech of 800 words maximum.  The topic is "Relations in 2017: What is the role of males in upholding or fostering respect for females in today's society?"

Rayonier Advanced Materials (RYAM) Scholarship - Due Jan. 5, 2017 - Worth $2,500
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship:
  • Be a high school senior.
  • Live in a 45 mile radius of Jesup and Fernandina plants, from northern St. Johns County in Florida to just south of Savannah, GA.
  • Enroll in a relevant Engineering program at one of the universities listed below to be considered:
    - Florida: University of Florida, Florida A&M University, Florida State University, University of South Florida, or University of Central Florida
    - Georgia: Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern University, or University of Georgia
    - North Carolina: North Carolina State School of Pulp and Paper Science (North Carolina State University)
    - AlabamaAuburn University

To be eligible for this award, applicants must:
  • demonstrate at school, at the workplace, and within the community the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship;
  • demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent);

Looking for seniors who show scholastic achievement, character and leadership, etc.  Transcripts and two letters of recommendation, and two essays are required.

Florida PTA Scholarship - Due Feb. 1, 2017  Worth $2,000
This scholarship is for a senior who is a PTA or PTSA member and is planning to attend a state college, university, fine art school, or technical college in Florida.  Here is a link to the fillable application.

Florida District Exchange Club 2017 Americanism Speech Contest - Due Feb. 15th - Worth $500
Open to 10th, 11th and 12th grade students.  Must write a speech including facts, data, direct quotations (properly cited) about patriotism, or the opportunities and challenges of this Country's democratic institutions.  See attachment for full details.  E-mail speech to Mr. David Sian at mofest@gmail.com by Feb. 15th.

The Mary Awards Scholarship - Due Feb. 23, ,2017  Worth $1,000
This scholarship is for female seniors that have leadership, academics, athletics, and volunteerism. Short essay required.

A.C.E. Award - Exchange Club of Jacksonville - Due March 1, 2017 - Worth $500
Essays required.  Must have overcome great physical, emotional, or social obstacles and are now eligible for high school graduation.  Return all essays to Ms. Granger before March 1st so they can be e-mailed to appropriate recipient.  Please ignore deadline on the application (the April 15th deadline is if you move further in the competition).

Raymond A. Vinson Scholarship - Due March 1, 2017 Worth up to $6,000 ($1,500 each year but renewable)
Must be a member or dependent of a member of Community First Credit Union, must demonstrate leadership ability and financial need, must have a 3.0 unweighted GPA plus an ACT score of a 24 or SAT score of 1,100.

Brooks Rehabilitation Scholarship - Due March 9, 2017 - Worth $5,000 (awarded to one female and one male in DCPS Schools)
Must be a senior planning to major in Sports Medicine and/or a related discipline in college.  Also, must have a 3.0 unweighted GPA or higher.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Scholarship - Due March 17th - Amount Varies
To be eligible for a scholarship, an applicant must:(1)        be a current resident of Duval County
(2)        be a graduating female senior
(3)        have a grade point average of 3.0+
(4)        have an ACT score of 19+ or SAT score of 1200+
(5)        provide letter of college acceptance
(6)        include an official transcript and 1st semester grades
(7)        indicate a financial need
(8)       provide a typewritten personal essay

Must be a senior scheduled to graduate.  Must have a 2.0 GPA and plan to attend a technical school. Short essay required.

Continental Societies, Inc. National Scholarship - Due March 31st

Florida First Coast Coalition of Labor Union Women Scholarship - Due March 31st - Worth $500
Must be a senior with at least a 2.0 average that is applying to technical school, an apprenticeship program, college, or university.  Must have at least 50 community service hours.  Also, you must be nominated by 2 union members.  Essay also required.

The Great Clips Scholarship Program - Due March 31st - Worth between $250 and $1500
Must be a senior planning to pursue a career in Cosmetology.

Westside Business Leaders' Association - Due April 1st - Worth $1,000 (one student from each HS on the West side of Duval)
Target GPA for scholarship is a 2.0 to 3.0 and they are looking to help students who may not normally qualify for financial assistance.

National Naval Officers Association Scholarship - Due April 6th - Worth up to $2,500
Open to any senior pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree in the summer or fall of 2017.

Atlantic Coast Bank Scholarship - Due April 7th - Worth $500
Must be a customer of Atlantic Coast Bank (new customers eligible too).  Must be a senior and be enrolling in an accredited college in Summer/Fall 2017.  Two letters of recommendation and SAT/ACT test scores are required.

ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarship - Due April 10th - Worth $5,000
This scholarship is awarded to two Black and two Hispanic seniors (2 girls and 2 boys).  Must be accepted at a 4 year school and plan to major in STEM field.  Applicants should display academic achievement, leadership skills, and have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Submit the application, transcript, photo, college acceptance letters, three letters of recommendation, and two one-page essays online.

Florida Society Colonial Dames XVII Anne Massey Scholarship - Due April 15th - Worth $1,000
Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.  Must have an acceptance letter from college or University and two letters of recommendation.

Duval County PTSA Scholarship - Due April 15th - Worth $500
Must be a senior with a 3.0 unweighted GPA or higher that plans on attending a postsecondary institution full-time in the 17-18 school year.  Must also be a member of the PTSA or the Sunshine State PTA (you can join this if you aren't a member).  Essay and two letters of reference are also required.

NEFMS Scholarship - Due April 15, 2017 - Worth $5,000
Must be an African-American student pursuing a degree in STEM with the goal of becoming a physician, physician assistant, or advanced registered nurse practitioner.  Must be a senior, with an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher.  Must have two letters of recommendation.

Purdue Alumni Club of Greater Jacksonville - Due April 15, 2017  Worth $1,000
Must be a senior who plans to attend Purdue University (Indiana) and have financial need.

Duval Association of Educational Office Professionals Scholarship (DAEOP) - Due April 21st Worth $1,000
Must be a senior pursuing higher education either part-time or full-time at a 2 year, 4 year, or technical school.  Three letters of recommendation and one page essay are required.

Chartwells-Thompson School Dining Services Scholarship - Due April 28th - Worth $1000
Must have a 2.5 GPA, acceptance into a post secondary institution, and write an essay of 1000 words or less.

Jacksonville Urban League - Youth Scholarship - Due April 28, 2017 - award amount varies
Must be a US citizen and planning to enroll and will attend a post-secondary institution this fall.  Must have a minimum 2.5 unweighted GPA.  Essay, letters of recommendation, and transcript are required.

HENAAC Scholarship - Due April 30th - Worth between $500 and $10,000
Must be of Hispanic descent or demonstrate strong leadership or service within the Hispanic community.  Must have a 3.0 or higher unweighted GPA and be pursuing a STEM major in a college or University.

The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida - Due May 5, 2017  - Various renewable amounts
Three different scholarships are included.  See attached document for applications.
1.  3.0 GPA who are Eagle Scout or Girl Scout
2.  3.0 GPA who plans to attend school in the Northeastern states
3.  General scholarship for student pursuing BA degree with 2.5-3.5 GPA).

SCW DREAMers Scholarship - Due May 31, 2017 - Open to seniors who have a 3.0 unweighted GPA or higher are are DREAMers (fill the requirements of the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) 
Act).

First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Scholarship - Due May 31, 2017
Must have at least one parent or grandparent of Hispanic/Latino origin from a Spanish speaking country.  Must have a 3.0 GPA.  Must be US Citizen, US Permanent Resident, or DACA to apply.  Must live in Duval, Baker, St. Johns, Clay, or Nassau county.  Must have completed the FAFSA to determine financial need.  Must be seeking an AA, AS, or BA degree.

PFLAG Scholarship - Due June 1, 2017 - $2,000

Horatio Alger Association Career & Technical Scholarship - Due June 15, 2017 - Worth up to $2,500

Big Sun Scholarship - Due June 19, 2017 - Worth $500
Open to seniors who are athletes of any sport.  Must write a short essay (500-1,000 words) answering the following question, "How did your participation in sports during your high school years influence you?"

EGC Women in Law Scholarship - Due June 30, 2017 - Worth $1,500
Open to any female senior seeking a career in law.  Must be attending an accredited college, university or law school and attending classes in the fall.  Must have a 3.0 minimum GPA. Scholarship will be based on merit, need, and commitment to helping others.

Duval/Nassau Alumni Chapter of Bethune Cookman University - Due June 30, 2017 - Worth $1,000
Applicants who desire to attend Bethune-Cookman University must provide the following documents to confirm:
• Must be a High School Graduating Senior.
• Must reside in Duval or Nassau County.
• Must have taken either the SAT or ACT with a score of at least 1100/17 respectively.
• Must have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Must submit a copy of the Letter of Acceptance from Bethune-Cookman University.
• Must submit a copy of the FAFSA (Financial Aid Application for Student Assistance) letter of determination based on need.
• Must submit a letter from an organization verifying community/volunteer service.
• Must submit unopened letter with the copy of your official transcript with school seal.
• Must submit two (2) letters of recommendations from either of the following:  teacher, pastor, high school principal, counselor, B-CU alumnus, community leader or your employer.
